Business Name: Akemi (referred to as “Akemi”, “we”, “our”, or “us”)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and purchasing a coaching session through rift.coach, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Nature of Service

Akemi provides educational League of Legends coaching sessions via Discord voice calls. These sessions are designed to help improve gameplay, game knowledge, and decision-making.
Akemi is not affiliated with Riot Games, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries.

3. Session Duration & Format

  • Standard coaching sessions last approximately 60–90 minutes.

  • At Akemi’s discretion, sessions may be extended by up to 15 minutes for free to complete teaching, provided scheduling permits.

  • If further time is desired beyond the free extension, an additional fee must be paid before continuing.

  • Coaching is conducted via Discord voice calls.

  • For VOD Reviews, students must upload their gameplay recordings in advance to ensure they are processed and viewable in high quality before the session begins. Any processing delays will reduce session time.

  • For Live Coaching, students must be able to stream their gameplay in at least 720p, 30 FPS quality via Discord.

4. Payment Terms

  • All sessions and bundles must be paid for in full and in advance before the scheduled start time.

  • Prices are listed in EUR and inclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.

5. Bundle Validity

  • Each bundle, typically sold for a period of one month or on a recurring basis, grants the student a specified number of hours (varying by bundle), which must be claimed within a period equal to the bundle’s duration in months plus one additional month from the date of purchase. For example, a bundle offering 12 hours of coaching for one month, requires the student to book and use their 12 hours within two months from the date of purchase.

6. Recording Policy

  • All sessions are recorded for training and quality purposes.

  • Students may request a copy of their own session recording.

  • Akemi will only share or publish session recordings (or excerpts) with the student’s prior written consent.

  • Students are not permitted to record sessions themselves.

  • Students may not share or distribute their session recordings.

7. Code of Conduct

Students must maintain respectful, professional behaviour during coaching sessions.
The following will result in immediate termination of the session without refund:

  • Insults or toxicity

  • Sexist, chauvinistic, or discriminatory remarks

  • Harassment or inappropriate conduct

8. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Refund requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 3 hours in advance.

  • Late cancellations (less than 3 hours) will not be refunded, but may be rescheduled with a 30% discount at Akemi’s discretion.

  • If Akemi cancels the session, you are entitled to a full refund or a rescheduled slot at no extra cost.

  • If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session will be marked as completed, and no refund will be issued.

  • No refunds are available after a session has been completed.

9. Punctuality

  • Please respect Akemi’s and other students’ time by being ready at your scheduled start.

  • Late arrival will result in reduced coaching time without a refund.

  • Delays may also affect subsequent sessions and Akemi’s breaks.

10. Results Disclaimer

While Akemi guarantees to provide high-quality instruction and advice to help you improve, results depend on your own effort and application.
Your improvement and ranking progress will depend on:

  • Consistency in applying learned strategies

  • Time spent practicing

  • Following assigned tasks and recommendations

11. Limitation of Liability

  • Akemi is not responsible for any technical issues on the student’s end, including internet connection or hardware problems.

  • Akemi is not responsible for any consequences in-game or on your Riot Games account resulting from advice or gameplay changes.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, Akemi’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific session or bundle in dispute.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
